all measurements are taken flat unless otherwise noted. while we typically include an estimated modern size for reference, we recommend reviewing the listed measurements for your best fit. we do note the size if given by the garment, but we recommend caution comparing those to modern sizes.
for the purpose of our collections, we consider 'plus-size' garments to be a modern women's size 14 and up.
garment cleaning & restoration
all items on vangie are professionally cleaned and restored before listing.
we recommend dry-cleaning or hand-washing for all garments. this is the best way to preserve the life and condition for a garment.

garment condition
perfect
mint and flawless, with no visible signs of previous wear. Extremely rare, even for deadstock pieces, essentially like new.
near mint
Looked unworn at first glance. On very close inspection, one or two barely noticeable signs of past life reminded us it wasn’t newly made.
excellent
only the slightest signs of gentle wear from occasional use. No major flaws, perhaps one or two small notes that never detracted from the overall wearability.
very good
completely wearable, with a few minor surface imperfections. Any signs of age were subtle and didn’t take away from the garment’s character.
good
showed minor, noticeable wear when worn, but still structurally sound, stylish, and ready for more life.
as-is
notable defects, that some may not be comfortable wearing.
