the look

a sweet vintage drop-waist slip in cream, a fitted silky bodice that falls to a low hip seam and releases into a gathered net skirt finished with a horizontal tuck near the hem. adjustable straps with metal slide buckles, a softly scooped neckline, and bound edges throughout. slips and petticoats like this did quiet, essential work under the full-skirted silhouettes of the 1950s, adding shape and a whisper of volume without weight, and the drop-waist construction here lets the net fall from the hip for an even, bell-like lift. a pretty foundation piece that also layers beautifully on its own.

please note: light age and handling overall, with a faint mark or two on the bodice and skirt lining consistent with gentle past wear.
