the look
this reworked technicolor tee brings the sweetest hit of 60s color to a modern cropped cut. the applique is hand-cut from true vintage floral cotton, the kind of bold, psychedelic poppy print the 60s did best, then machine-embroidered onto a cherry red base that needed a little love, for a one-of-one statement piece. the pattern itself is classic 60s: oversized blooms, punchy pinks and yellows, and that slightly off-register charm only older rotary-printed cottons have. the fabric itself was rotary printed, a mid-century technique that pushed dye through cylindrical screens to create continuous, high-saturation patterns you just can’t fake today. soft, wearable and bright in all the right ways.
