a classic red paisley bandana by hav-a-hank, built around a bold central sunflower medallion, printed in cream and black. a starburst rosette at the center is ringed by a scalloped field of small paisley, with a wide curling-boteh border and a fine looping frame. the corner mark reads 100% cotton, hav-a-hank, made in u.s.a., rn 15187, with the crafted with pride star that dates it to 1984 or later. hav-a-hank has been making bandanas in the united states since 1946 and is one of the most widely distributed american bandana brands, which is why their pieces anchor so many workwear and western wardrobes. one edge is a true selvage with the other three hemmed.
