modern | hook line & tinker
about me
two shades of blue, a heron, and some reeds. it reminds us of the mid-century scandinavian linens we're always hunting for, where a few colors and strong lines do all the work. it's a beginner kit with everything you need, and it's easy enough for your very first project. hang it as a standalone piece, make it the center of a cushion cover cut from an old linen tablecloth, or use it to cover a stain on a well-loved shirt.
in the kit:
- pre-printed design on unbleached cotton
- 6" wooden embroidery hoop
- 2 full skeins of embroidery floss
- bohin size 3 embroidery needle
- instructions (english and french)
everything at vangie is about giving clothes a longer life, and mending is a big part of that. a needle and some floss can turn a moth hole or a stain into the best part of a piece. these kits are designed by canadian embroidery artist laurie dolhan of hook, line & tinker, and each one is packed by hand in her small-batch studio with minimal plastic. finish yours in the hoop for the wall, or cut it out and sew it onto something you already love.
