a little leopard history
leopard has been fashion's favorite wild card for about a century. it went from real fur to printed fabric in the 1920s and '30s, and christian dior put it on the runway in his 1947 debut collection. by the '50s and '60s it was shorthand for old hollywood glamour, and it's cycled back through punk, '90s minimalism, and every era since.
