about me

a sheep in a cable-knit sweater. we see a lot of hand knits come through the shop, and this one makes us smile every time. it's all black thread on natural cotton, and each band of the sweater is a different stitch. it's a beginner kit with everything you need, and you decide how far to take it. keep it simple with backstitch, or layer on chain stitch and french knots. make it a standalone piece for the knitter in your life, update a plain sweatshirt, or patch over a snag on a favorite knit.

everything at vangie is about giving clothes a longer life, and mending is a big part of that. a needle and some floss can turn a moth hole or a stain into the best part of a piece. these kits are designed by canadian embroidery artist laurie dolhan of hook, line & tinker, and each one is packed by hand in her small-batch studio with minimal plastic. finish yours in the hoop for the wall, or cut it out and sew it onto something you already love.

each vintage piece has lived a life before finding its way to us, some may show signs of wear that add to its story and character.
