the look
A sculptural early 60s coat crafted from luxury French-woven fabric, produced exclusively for Morab New York and tailored by Adams of Allentown. Dating to circa 1962-1964, this piece reflects the postwar moment when Parisian textile innovation met American specialty tailoring, favoring architectural silhouettes over ornament. The diagonal jacquard weave, relaxed cocoon shape, and three-quarter sleeves give this coat a quietly powerful, modernist presence that still feels strikingly current. Very heavy wool, and very warm.
