about me

This vangie small-batch scarf or bandana is cut from a 50s Harwood Steiger designer textile known among collectors as a “desert story” print- a dense, illustrative landscape of owls, coyotes, cacti, and geometric motifs pulled straight from Steiger’s Arizona studio surroundings. His hand-drawn screens often blended regional flora and fauna with sharp midcentury abstraction, and this print is one of the best examples of that crossover, rendered in vivid ultramarine and black. Reworked and sewn in-house at it turns a rare designer textile into a standout everyday accessory.
