This re-made tee centers a panel of mid-century Harwood Steiger screen-printed cotton in a brilliant cobalt-and-black palette, reworked into a one-of-one appliqué with custom machine-embroidered quilting. The print is a Steiger classic: a dense, hand-drawn landscape of abstract desert iconography, geometric borders, and stylized flora rendered in his unmistakable mid-century Southwest linework. The fabric itself is true vintage, printed in Tubac, Arizona, where Steiger and his wife, Sophie, produced small-batch silkscreens noted for their crisp lines and saturated color.

For this piece, the Steiger panel was stabilized and machine-quilted in a loose, gestural style meant to echo the rhythm of his original linework. The quilting adds texture and lightly sculpted dimension without weighing down the tee. The panel is appliquéd onto a vintage black cotton T-shirt with a soft, washed-in feel and a relaxed, easy drape.
