this dress dates to the 1980s, a period when missoni experimented with rare pictorial knits alongside their better-known zigzag patterns. unlike the brand’s classic chevrons, which are formed from space-dyed yarns in repeating waves, this design uses true intarsia, a complex technique where each section of color is knitted separately to build a detailed image.
