the look

chunky handknit red pullover knit with a stitched-in jerry mouse graphic, finished with ribbed crew neck, cuffs, and hem. the motif is built into the knitwork, giving a subtle reverse image on the back that only true handknits get. tom and jerry have been an animation staple since 1940, and vintage knitting patterns from the late 1980s through 1990s show how popular character chart sweaters were for home knitters.
