a pretty tone-on-tone pink bandana printed in an all-over dotted lace pattern rather than paisley, made all cotton. deeper rose motifs sit on a soft pink ground, built up from concentric medallions, floral rosettes, and dotted scallops that radiate from a small central square, the whole thing reading more like cutwork or eyelet than the usual boteh. the corner mark reads all cotton, colorfast, rn 13960, made in u.s.a. of imported fabric, the imported-fabric wording that marks the later american bandana era of the 1990s, when the cloth was woven overseas and printed and finished here. all four edges are hemmed. the lace-style print and tonal pink make it a softer, dressier take on the classic square.
