a little kit for visible mending, the kind where the fix is the best part. instead of hiding a hole or a stain, make it the thing people notice. stitch over a worn spot, patch a tear, or bead around a mark that won't wash out. everything here is chosen to help the clothes you already love stay in your rotation, with a little extra flair.

magic rabbits: a pair of bunnies popping out of top hats, one red and one blue, plus red and navy stars and little red hearts. pull a bunny over a hole in your jean jacket, or scatter stars across a stain on a tote.

patch sizes: bunnies in top hats approx. 1.25" tall, stars approx. 0.5" to 0.75", red hearts approx. 0.5"

every patch in this kit is genuine vintage, not a reproduction. some iron on and some sew on, so you can go quick with an iron or stitch them down by hand.

at vangie, mending is part of the job. everything we sell is sourced, researched, and mended by hand in our philly studio, so we fix a lot of holes. we've found that a good repair doesn't need to hide. a darned elbow or a patch over a moth hole or stain can be the best detail on the piece.

this whole kit is vangie, start to finish. we pick every patch, bead, and rhinestone, pack each kit by hand in our studio, and wrote and designed the zine ourselves. it walks you through the basics. use one technique on its own or layer a few. it's okay to start over. it's supposed to look handmade.

inside each kit:

• 1 custom vangie zine with instructions, made in-house
• assorted genuine vintage patches (some iron-on, some sew-on)
• assorted embroidery floss
• 1 mini embroidery hoop
• 1 baggie of sew-on rhinestones and glass beads (packed together to cut down on plastic)
• 2 needles (tucked into a scrap of fabric from the vangie studio)
• mini scissors

thread colors, beads, and rhinestones vary from kit to kit, so yours will be one of a kind.
