about me

Handmade from original 1960s Harwood Steiger “Avian” fabric, this limited-edition scarf or bandana reimagines midcentury art for modern wear. Steiger was an influential Arizona-based textile artist who hand-printed fabrics in his Tubac studio throughout the mid-20th century. His work celebrated desert life through stylized motifs of plants, animals, and geometry, fusing fine art sensibility with functional design.

Designed and produced in-house at Vangie using reclaimed or vintage textiles. Each piece is individually cut, sewn, and finished, small-batch construction with attention to detail and minimal waste.
